2016: How it all began
As RBNr Militaria was about to celebrate its 15th anniversary, back in 2016 we began a search for post-WW2 military items. Up until that point, our choice not to deal with post-1945 items had precluded us from all those incredible items that historically would have arrived with the Cold War, the Korean War, Vietnam, and so on.
Together with my friend Gianpaolo Infante, The Quartermaster was born and the cover photo shows us returning from a very hot day spent in Liguria to acquire an entire collection of US Army Korea and Vietnam material. We were at the end, probably the last years, of that incredible era of used clothing warehouses that from Prato then reached the shelves of the best vintage shops and the archives of the most important collections in the world.
After a few months of studying those garments and materials, which seemed to be made to last forever, research that over time has broadened its scope to include the production of workwear, hunting clothing and vintage sportswear, we immediately felt the desire to build something of our own that respected that method and production approach.
This is how The Quartermaster was born. To try to bring back to the present the same real value of timeless garments and the same real quality of military and workwear productions of the last century.
